Public reporting line

Report a road offence

Seen dangerous driving, a vehicle running a red light, or an overloaded truck? Tell the licensing authority. Photos or a short video make a report far more likely to lead to action.

infoThis form runs on DVLA, a DENDAT showcase platform for government. It is not an official government reporting line. To report an emergency or an offence officially, contact the police or your licensing authority directly.

  1. Say what happened, where and when.
  2. Add the number plate if you saw it, and any photos or video.
  3. Keep the reference and tracking code you get at the end to check progress.

Every report is reviewed by an officer before anything happens. False reports may be an offence. Your contact details are optional and are never shown to the person you report.

Check a report you already made

Optional, if you are still there.
